A monthly letter from the desk of Sarah Fejfar

Happy June to you!

My favorite adventure this past month was taking a day off to go for a hike in Sedona, AZ. Twenty years ago or so, Oprah told me Sedona was fabulous and I’ve had it in my head ever since that I need to go. I was glad to finally make it happen.

Sedona is an interesting place; not 30 minutes in, the town had me wondering if I needed my energy balanced, what a picture of my aura looks like, and if a psychic reading would, in fact, be a good idea. πŸ˜‚ But in the end, I decided to stick to my initial plan and hit up The Juicery, Crystal Magic, Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, and hike Cathedral Rock.  (All excellent stops, BTW.)

What did you learn last month? Here’s what has my attention:

  1. I read The Courage to Be Disliked: The Japanese Phenomenon That Shows You How to Change Your Life and Achieve Real Happiness by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga at Glo Atanmo’s recommendation. I loved it and if I had to share just one takeaway, I’d say it’s eliminating thinking of interpersonal relationships as vertical and instead, making them all horizontal.
  2. While watching James Wedmore’s Rise of the Digital CEO LIVE training in early June, what caught my attention was the concept that if I’m doing something more than once, I need to evaluate if it’s a task I should outsource.
  3. It’s interesting, Imposter Syndrome is one of the top two things I’ve noticed hold entrepreneurs back from hosting their own events (that and a fear of filling it.)  And as luck would have it, I’ve been holding onto a bit of my own that’s undoubtedly held me back in my business. A couple things happened for me this past month that are allowing me to loosen my grip and let go; feels good.

What are you tackling this month?

Here’s what’s on my docket:

  1. Connecting with potential podcasts guests so I can batch enough episodes to cover our upcoming seven-week summer road trip.
  2. I’m helping a client produce his overseas retreat in September and have lots of details to work on this month.
  3. I invested in James Wedmore’s Business by Design and am learning how to launch so by the end of August I can say I’ve completed my first launch! It’s exciting and terrifying all at once.

And there you have it, my June update for you. Just thought I’d share and keep in contact.

I hope this note finds you and your loved ones happy, healthy, and enjoying of summer!

Make it an outstanding rest of the month!

Warm Regards,
Sarah
