A monthly letter from the desk of Sarah Fejfar

Hey there

We spent the Labor Day Weekend camping on Mount Rainier, and it was as magical as I imagined it would be.  Gosh, there’s so much beauty in the Pacific Northwest.  I love it!

It’s fascinating to me that it took us 3 years to make it to Mount Rainier because it was one of the biggest reasons we moved here. We’ve been going on so many epic adventures all over this #pacificwonderland, and there’s just so much beauty to see, it took us this long to make it happen.

I took a Girl Scout trip from Milwaukee to Washington State when I was in middle school.  My time on Mount Rainier, following a mountain stream upriver during that trip, stuck with me forever and I’ve always looked forward to going back.

With all that said, wow, it’s already mid-September!

What did you learn last month?

Here’s a quick recap of my favorite learnings from August:

  1. Making Plans Works! In early August I made camping reservations for our family in two places that have been on our summer camping bucket list for a long time now (Bend & Mt Rainier.) Setting that intention, and making the reservations (we usually decide on adventures last minute) got us out of the house, seeing new places, and doing things we love, together. It was a win!

  2. I can move past dissenting opinions. I encountered my first major “dissenting” opinion about my online course business plans in August.  I’m happy to report that after all the personal development work I’ve been doing, I was able to quickly notice that the person wasn’t serving me and create distance and not feel bad about it. It was a win!

  3. I can do hard things. For months I kept telling myself “I don’t have it in me,” even though I knew it was time to gently put an end to my daughter’s excessive screen usage that started during the pandemic.  Well, I’m happy to report that we’re 16 days into a 21 day “no devices” detox for my kiddo.  The results are better than I imagined them to be.  I’m so very pleased with myself and so very proud of her. We also had a family meeting with her psychologist to come up with new boundaries for when devices are re-introduced and we’re all on board with the plan. This is a huge win!

What are you working on this month?

I’m tackling a few things:

  1. Bringing My LinkedIn Profile Out of the Dark Ages.  I’ve never spent much time on LinkedIn, but now that I’m actively pursuing some longer-term, stable consulting or full-time job work (to do digital marketing/chief of staff / creative project management/event planning / or process improvement work) it’s time to pull my LinkedIn out of the dark ages and into 2021. I decided the financial peace of mind I’d gain from re-entering the workforce would be worth it so I can have more runway to create an audience and get my funnel up and running and optimized.

  2. I’m running my first FB/Instagram ads for my live webinar and delivering my first live webinar.  I’m excited to test the funnel and start refining!

  3. Working on self-worth.  I’m reading “Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It” by Kamal Ravikant this month.

And there you have it, my September update for you.  Just thought I’d share and keep in contact.

I hope this note finds you and your loved ones happy and healthy.

Make it an outstanding September! THIS is the month my kiddo starts in-person school again after 18 months at home.  We’re all so very excited for Tuesday 9/14 when she starts!

Warm Regards,
Sarah
