A monthly letter from the desk of Sarah Fejfar

Well hello there!

Our family took a trip to see the tulip fields on Easter Sunday.  All the pictures of serene, sun-kissed tulip fields I had collected in my head from their social media were met with the reality of a tulip farm turned circus complete with carnival rides, a craft fair, food trucks, and large crowds… yikes, the comedy and horror of it all.

It got me thinking about how the importance of intentionally crafting not only the experience but also the expectations for our event guests.

It also got my inner entrepreneur thinking about clear CTAs.  I could not find a clear call to action to take tulips home (and I wanted to!) and was noticing missed opportunities for order bumps, upsells, and increasing the average cart value everywhere.  Oy vey.

Tulips aside, I wanted to pop into your inbox to see how you’re doing and also give you an update on my March.

I’m curious, what did you learn about yourself or your business last month?

Here’s what I learned last month:

  1. It’s good to feel good.  I read this life-changing book last month on mindset and manifesting called Super Attractor by Gabriel Bernstein. One of my biggest takeaways was that I need to give myself permission to enjoy the ride.  I’m one of those worker-bee types that prioritizes progress over enjoyment and the book teaches how and why they can and should coexist.  I highly recommend it.

  2. Goodbye Waiting Rooms! This is undoubtedly nerdy, but I geek out on all things events and this got me so excited I wanted to share.  I learned about a tool that eliminates the need for waiting rooms in Zoom.  It’s challenging to be part of an event with hundreds or thousands of guests in a Zoom and constantly needing to admit folks.  I love finding efficiencies!

  3. Life Coaches for the Win! I’m about a month and a half and into working with a life coach.  Having a life coach is new for me and I’m loving it.  I’ve known life coaches exist for about 5 years and never took action until now, and I have to say, I underestimated how valuable it could be in my life.  It’s hard work, but it’s bringing me joy and lots of learning. Help is accessible when we open ourselves up to it.

That said, it’s a new month with new opportunities.  Let’s go!

What are you trying to accomplish in April?

Here are three of my goals:

  1. Market Consulting: A friend told me last week that I’ve given myself the equivalent of an Ivy League education in online marketing over the last few years and it's high time I put that education to good use.  She’s right.  So, this month, I’m going to spin up a couple of landing pages that properly promote my services both in event consulting and also online business consulting and ask some friends to promote me.  This will allow me to drive some additional revenue to fuel my audience generation efforts for my flagship evergreen products targeted at entrepreneurs who want to start or scale events in their businesses.

  2. BETA Testing: I’m stoked to report that this month I am taking a group of 30 entrepreneurs through a beta version of my brand-new Live Event Academy™ ACCELERATOR program.  I’m grateful to have these founding members getting value and also helping me by kicking the tires, giving me feedback, and asking questions.

  3. Sales Page: My third goal is to finish my long-form sales page for the Live Event Academy™ ACCELERATOR program. I’m halfway done and super proud of the progress I made last month… and all of that progress came from a laser focus on my one thing each day.  (If you’ve never read the book The One Thing by Gary Keller & Jay Papasan, I highly recommend it… it’s a helpful concept with kids too!)

And there you have it, my April update for you.  Just thought I’d share and keep in contact.

I hope this note finds you and your loved ones happy and healthy.

Make it an awesome week,

Sarah
