Hey there

Happy February to you!

I hope your January was filled with progress and fun. I feel like I blinked and it was over!

My favorite adventure was a 4.5-mile hike on Cape Falcon in Oswald West State Park. There’s such a feeling of accomplishment after doing hard things. The views down the Oregon Coast were sublime. I am in awe that we get to live here and share these experiences as a family.

The most memorable adventure though, goes to the time we went sledding on Mt. Hood and it took 6.5 hours to get home vs. 1.5… traffic on a sunny Sunday; omg.  Glad we had a good audiobook to listen to!

All that said, I’m curious…

What did you learn last month?

Here are a few of my January learnings:

  •  Expansive, Abundant Thinking: On all our weekend adventure road trips, we’ve been listening to Harry Potter via Audible, and this quote from book 5 caught my ear in January: “The thing about growing up with...

 2022!!! Let’s go!!!

I love sharing about adventures. Our family (and my business) had an epic December.  The biggest smiles and widest eyes came from a (very long, oy!) hike along the Trail of Ten Falls in Silver Falls State Park here in Oregon. It’s a must-do adventure during the rainy season, that’s for sure.

But there were certainly a lot of runner ups for favorite adventures… attempting to cut our own Christmas tree in a National Forest, sledding in many feet of fresh powder on Mount Hood, being called up by Santa to help elf, baking Christmas cookies, drive-thru Christmas lights, family walks, playing fetch with Max on Cannon Beach, and celebrating the New Year eating chocolate fondue while watching fireworks in Dubai, Sydney, London, Montreal, and NYC courtesy of YouTube.

All that said, I’m curious…

Hey there

It’s such an exciting and hopeful time of 2021. Do you feel it too?!

When I looked back at our photos from the past month to select my favorite adventure to share with you, I was struck by the fact that so many of my favorites in November were the result of minuscule decisions. … tiny, hey why don’t we just stop here and check it out or let’s use what’s left of the afternoon to try something new, or let’s drive a little further and see what’s there, kind of adventures.

One Saturday we went on a hunt to recreate a picture I found on Instagram. Silly, perhaps, but one of the adventure inspiration accounts I follow posted this photo of a hiker at Trillium Lake up on Mount Hood, and never having been there myself, I instantly knew I had to have that picture too (but more so the adventure that went with getting it.)  It felt fun to succeed and then it led to us having the best time down...

Hey there

As silly as it sounds, October 2021 will go down as the month I *didn’t* get COVID.  After 19 months of doing our best to live our lives and avoid getting sick, Cliff came home from a week-long guy’s trip to Moab, UT with COVID, even with his two Pfizer COVID vaccine shots.  We kept him isolated in one bedroom of our house for 12 days and managed to keep my kiddo and me from getting sick. #winning

While I spent more time than expected brushing up on my hospitality and nursing skills, our family did manage to get in a few adventures in #pacificwonderland in October.

My favorite adventure, hands down, was last night, trick or treating in our neighborhood for the first time since the pandemic hit.  There’s just something about people feeling good, together, that makes me smile: the shared experience of meeting neighbors, kids racing around with huge grins, and friends gathered around campfires in...

Wanted to tell you… My favorite adventure from September is hands down, getting to drop my daughter off for her first day of in-person school since March 2020.  Wow.  What a gift.

I hope something amazing happened for you too in September.

And now it’s nearly mid-October!  Bring on the gorgeous Fall colors and chai tea lattes!

What did you learn last month?

Here’s a quick recap of my favorite learnings from September:

  1. I’m not managing stress as well as I thought. I came down with a case of shingles while planning a hybrid event for a client last month.  The first thing out of the doctor’s mouth was: “are you under a lot of stress…” it felt like an ironic question given what the world has gone through (and what I have gone through) over the past 20 months.  It’s been stressful, yes.  But seriously though… I thought I was managing it well so I’m...

Hey there

We spent the Labor Day Weekend camping on Mount Rainier, and it was as magical as I imagined it would be.  Gosh, there’s so much beauty in the Pacific Northwest.  I love it!

It’s fascinating to me that it took us 3 years to make it to Mount Rainier because it was one of the biggest reasons we moved here. We’ve been going on so many epic adventures all over this #pacificwonderland, and there’s just so much beauty to see, it took us this long to make it happen.

I took a Girl Scout trip from Milwaukee to Washington State when I was in middle school.  My time on Mount Rainier, following a mountain stream upriver during that trip, stuck with me forever and I’ve always looked forward to going back.

With all that said, wow, it’s already mid-September!

Hey there,

We’re back in Oregon after four weeks away and enjoying our first taste of an Oregon summer after living here for almost three years!  We’ve got lots of “new to us” summer adventures planned for our family this month which I’m excited about and I hope you do too (yay for novelty!)

But I have to say, one of my favorite Oregon adventures of all time happened last month. We walked a section of beach in Cannon Beach that we hadn’t travelled before (because it entails walking through a river to get there.)  Taking the risk was 100% worth it to experience new terrain (sand dunes and lava rocks to climb) and less crowds.  Gorgeous.

I think that’s what I love about living here the most is that there’s seemingly no end to the options for adventure.

With all that said, welcome to August!

Hey there

I hope this note finds you enjoying sunshine and summer!

I’m writing to you from the middle of a four-week road trip. We’re making our annual trek to visit family and friends (in SD and MN,) visit some of our favorite vacation spots (Coeur ‘d Alene, ID, and Door County, WI) and see some new places (this trip it’s Park City, UT, Boise, ID.)

Yes, it’s exhausting, and yes, the adventure is worth it to figure out how to work on the road and sleep new places each night in order to connect with people and places we love.

Welcome to July!

What did you learn last month?

Here's a quick recap of my favorite aha’s:

  1. Stepping Into the Role of CEO: The universe delivered lots of opportunities in June for me to learn about how to step into the role of the CEO of a multi-million-dollar online info-product business BEFORE I’ve achieved that goal.  (A few of my favorites are The Common Path to Uncommon...

Hey there

Remember back in grade school during standardized tests when the teacher would make the announcement "pencils down?"

I had to tell myself that this week.  I spent May finishing my sales page for Live Event Academy (you can peek here: www.sarahfejfar.com/academy (any and all feedback is welcome)) and while there's so much more I could do and want to do, I had to tell myself, it's good enough to move on to my next project (the live webinar funnel) and I can make it better after the funnel is up and running.

I'm training myself to be more about progress and imperfect action and less about perfection... and gosh it's hard.  This quote by Ira Glass is exactly why.

So, we've made it into June.  Blows my mind. It’s summer! This is exciting stuff!

What did you learn last month?

Here are a few of my most notable learnings:

  1. EVERYTHING is figureoutable.  I read Marie Forleo's book of the same name in May (it's...

I’m a bit emotional as I write this note today.  I have the gift of a three-hour, uninterrupted block of time to work today while my 9yo daughter, my kiddo, is at school (3rd grade) for the first time in over a year.

She’s nervous and excited and was wondering “what to wear on the first day of school…” which struck me as so very interesting… what a question to be pondering in May!  She gets to go for 3 hours, outside, 2x a week for these last 4 weeks of the school year.  Progress.

So… what did you learn about yourself or your business last month?

Here’s what I learned:

  1. My New Zero Tolerance Policy: In April, at my life coach’s recommendation, I read the book Dollars Flow to Me Easily by Richard Dotts, to help me work through some subconscious limiting beliefs I have about wealth.  My biggest takeaway was making the decision that I now have a...
